Privacy policy
Last updated October 7, 2026
Amixi is run by Permanent Mrkr Studios Inc. ("Amixi", "we"), Suite 1200, 1075 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, British Columbia V6E 3C9, Canada. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. In short: your closet and photos are yours, private unless you choose to share them, and we never sell your personal information.
Amixi is not open yet. Right now this website only collects the email addresses of people who join the waitlist. We use them only to tell you about Amixi's launch and early access, and you can unsubscribe or ask us to delete yours at any time. The rest of this policy covers the Amixi app when it opens.
1. What we collect
| What | Examples | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Account details | Name, email, username, password, country, sizes you add | You |
| Waitlist | Your email address and the date you joined | You, on this website |
| Purchase receipts | Order emails from shops: store, date, items, sizes, colours, prices, returns and refunds | Your inbox, only if you connect it or forward receipts to your Amixi address |
| Closet | Pieces, looks, notes, wear logs, listings, what you make public | You and your receipts |
| Photos of you | Photos you upload for try-on, and the renders we make from them | You |
| Product photos and details | Shop photos, names, prices and links for your pieces | Shops and affiliate networks |
| Activity | Pieces viewed, ratings, follows, taps on Shop buttons | Your use of Amixi |
| Device and technical | Device type, app version, IP address, approximate location from IP, crash logs | Your device |
| Payments | Membership plan and billing status. Card numbers go straight to our payment processor and never reach us | Our payment processor |
2. Email access
If you connect Gmail or Outlook, Amixi reads only messages that look like order, shipping or refund emails, to add your purchases to your closet. We do not read other email, and we do not keep the full text of the emails once your pieces are added. Google user data is used only to provide this feature and follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We never use it for ads, never sell it, and never use it to train general AI models. You can disconnect your inbox at any time in Settings.
3. Photos of you and try-on
Your photos and renders are private to your account unless you choose to post them. We use them only to show clothes on you. We do not use them to recognise your face or identify you. Our try-on runs on cloud GPU servers we rent. Your photo is sent there for processing and is not kept by that provider.
Helping improve try-on (optional). You can choose to let us use your ratings and flags, and optionally your renders, to improve how Amixi looks on everyone. This is off unless you turn it on. You can turn it off any time, and we stop using your data for training from then on. Saying no never limits what you can do on Amixi.
4. How we use information
- To run your closet, import receipts, match returns and show your pieces with photos.
- To make try-on renders and daily outfit picks.
- To show Shop buttons and find where a piece is available.
- To run memberships, the marketplace, creator tools and payments.
- To keep Amixi secure, prevent fraud and fix problems.
- To send emails about your account. Marketing emails only if you agree, with an unsubscribe link in each.
5. Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- Service providers who work for us under contract: hosting and storage, GPU servers for try-on, AI services that read receipts, email delivery, payment processing and analytics. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
- Affiliate networks and shops. When you tap a Shop button, the shop and the affiliate network (such as Sovrn or Rakuten) see that a click came from Amixi, and the shop learns about your purchase as it normally would. We do not send them your name, email or closet.
- Other Amixi users. Only what you choose to make public, such as public closet pieces, looks, posts and your profile.
- Legal reasons. When the law requires it, or to protect people's safety or our rights.
- Business transfers. If Amixi is sold or merges, your information moves under this policy, and we will tell you first.
6. Where it is stored
We and our providers store and process information in Canada, the United States and the European Union. Information may be accessible to authorities in those countries under their laws.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete a piece, a photo or your account, we delete it from our systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days. We keep billing records as long as tax law requires. The "Delete everything" button removes your photos, renders, closet and receipts. Waitlist emails are kept until Amixi launches or you ask us to remove yours.
8. Your choices and rights
You can see, download, correct or delete your information, disconnect your inbox, make your closet private, and withdraw consent for optional uses at any time, in Settings or by emailing us. We answer within 30 days.
- Canada: you have rights under PIPEDA and provincial laws. In Quebec, Law 25 also gives you the right to data portability and to know about automated decisions. You may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your provincial commissioner.
- United States: depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Virginia, Texas), you may have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale, sharing and targeted ads. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
9. Children
Amixi is for people 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If we learn we have, we delete it.
10. Security
We encrypt information in transit and at rest, limit staff access, and keep photos in private storage. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach puts you at risk, we will tell you and the regulators as the law requires.
11. Cookies
This website does not use cookies today. When the app opens, our website will use cookies to keep you signed in, remember settings and track affiliate clicks. Analytics cookies are optional where the law requires consent.
12. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
